House update

I know I have not been real good about posting updates on our house construction. I'm not sure why, because it's a major part of our lives right now.
Anyway, this photo is about a month old, so there has been even more progression than you see here. The columns have the rock on them, and the porch is done except for the stairway.

As of today, they are painting the interior walls. Cabinets will be put in next week. The exterior has not been painted yet. This is such an exciting time because we get to see our dream really come together. So far we have been thrilled with the progress and results.
The only snag was when our copper wiring was stolen a few months ago. The frustrating part was Trev, Mike and I were out there at the house while the thief was inside posing as a worker with broom in hand. As soon as we left, he cut the wires and fled. You can read a little bit about it in our Tri-City Herald. This was in the paper a few days ago.
CLICK HERE to read our new home's minute of fame.

I really will try to get a more recent photos soon.

What a beautiful home! I can't wait to see some interior shots. Is it sitting on an acre? That will be so fun for your family. Keep us updated.

Thanks for the update! It looks like it's going to be beautiful. When is your tentative move in date?

I hear you about copper - it causes me heartache too. The price is going up so quickly we can't get any of our subcontractors to hold their prices for any time at all. Sorry that you had this setback.

It is sitting on an acre, so I am constantly thinking about landscaping.

We are hoping to move in then end of September.

Love it!! Love you. I got caught up on your other entries as well. I thought the Bored mom story was outrageous. But I loved the last line when her son said, "moms are boring too." Jared turns 12 on Wednesday. He'll be a deacon. I remember being 12 and thinking the deacons were so dreamy. How can this be happening? They grow up so fast. Now we'll pause for a stirring rendition of "Sunrise, Sunset"..........sniff sniff

Hi Shelli,
I'm being silly and posting a copy of a comment I put on Toni's website... just thought you might want to know that I'm trying hard to persuade her to name her baby after us. Hee Hee

Hip Hip Hooray!! Do I get to pick out the name for your baby like I did for Shelli? I guess I didn't really pick Rachel, I just confirmed to Shelli that it was indeed the name she wanted. So let's see... Karena Antoinette Richelle. And then call her Kari for short. Kari Cavalini. Ooh I love it!!

Hey Karen - when are you starting your blogsite? This might be the only way we can keep up with each other now!

I'm planning a trip home next March - is that enough advanced notice to try and schedule a mini-reunion?
