Does she know?

I get to live with an angel.
She is kind, pure and beautiful.
She is sunshine.
Her words are comfort.
Her heart is joy.
I wonder if she knows.

Her gratitude so genuine,
She praises and lifts.
Life is lovely and sweet,
She believes that it is.
I am so blessed...
I get to live with an angel.

Waterslides, Peonies & Ginger bits, Oh My!

Wow, life can sure be busy, can't it? I've been wanting to post lately, but sometimes there just isn't anything you feel is noteworthy. But since part of the reason I blog is to journal, I thought I would just post about some of the things on my mind, noteworthy or not.

We just got back from a really fun weekend trip. We went to Triple Play in Idaho with friends. Among other things, it has an indoor waterpark and that is where we spent our time. Though our eyes stung from all the chlorine in the air, and Monkey C came down with a fever on the last day, we had a great time sliding down all the water slides. My favorite part was watching the kids, hanging out with friends and going down the slide that was shaped like a funnel. Whee!

Primary (the childrens organization in our church) has got me so very busy, sometimes I can't think straight. With meetings, events, visits & presentations, I will admit I am in a love/hate relationship with the job. I mostly love it, but sometimes wish I could more fully concentrate on other things I wish to accomplish. But talk about learning to serve...

Monkey A is busy as ever with her art. Remember when I posted her drawing she was going to submit to the anime club? Well, she submitted two actually and won both 1st & 2nd place. The drawing I shared with you got 2nd, and I haven't seen the 1st place drawing because they have it displayed at school. Here are a few of her latest creations. I love the one of the 3 girls, because it is a drawing of her & her 2 best friends anime style (she made herself with pink hair). The other one is the main character of the book she is contemplating writing.

Want to hear a funny joke? Or two? Here is Reese Witherspoon's favorite - "What did the zero say to the eight?"... "Nice Belt!" Okay, here is the other one from Bill Maher - I love it...Bill Maher is getting sick and tired of body modification. "Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it doesn't make you spiritual," he argues. "It translates to 'beef with broccoli.'"

I love Trader Joe's ginger cookies. Have you ever tried them? They have these yummy little bits of chewy ginger in them - that is what makes this cookie. I just had 5 of them for breakfast, oh so healthy!

I must be anticipating summer because the sun is shining right now and it is just so beautiful! It's making me feel warm inside. It is coming through the windows and lighting up the house.
I had a dream the other night of waterballoon fights & peonies. If that isn't all about summer, I don't know what is.

I can't wait for it!

When my 2 oldest were little, I had more time and we were good at keeping their room clean. With my 2 youngest, well...let's just say their room is always a DISASTER and I can hardly stand to go in there. We spent all day yesterday cleaning it up, even making a trip to TJ Maxx for some baskets and other helpful things. It's nice to have it clean, I'm hoping they can keep it that way at least for the week. And yes, I know the room needs paint, but I just don't have time for that at this point. Any color suggestions for when I DO have time?

JUNE 24! Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is coming out, and I cannot wait. My favorite movie has a sequel and the sequel looks HOT!

Oh, and if you have time, check out Trev's blog, Life is Good, he is trying to make a better effort at keeping it updated, and all you bloggers know how nice it is to have feedback. so if you have time, give him a click!

Happy summer dreaming!
Until next time...

Sixth Picture from Sixth Folder - Tag

Okay, I got tagged by Theresa. You find the 6th picture from your 6th folder, post it, and describe it. Here goes...

A few months ago our computer crashed big time and Trev had to recover all our photos. We didn't get them all back, but what we did get back are now completely mixed up in folders, so I was wondering what picture would appear, it could have been anything.

Here it is. This is hilarious. This is from our vacation to the British
Virgin Islands we took in the winter of 2007. Funny Theresa tagged me for this, because they were on this vacation with us. Anyway, this is Trevor holding the feet of Ira. We had a huge barracuda just floating there under the boat. We had snorkeled around him and realized that this little escape hatch?? was right about where is was floating. So Trev took Ira's feet, and Ira put on his mask and snorkel for a close up lookie-loo. Yes, they are crazy men. We were laughing pretty hard, until Ira starting shouting, "Okay, pull me up, pull me up!!!" The barracuda had started to move I think.
Absolutely amazing vacation, in fact I wish I were there right now. Another funny thing about the barracuda, almost every time we anchored the boat, we had a lone barracuda floating there under it. We joked that maybe the same one just kept following us around from stop to stop.

If you want to see more pictures from BVI, one of my favorite vacations ever, you can go back and check out my posts from 2007: Mermaid and Flying Crazy Man and 2008: Christmas Vacation in the Sun and Vacation Pictures Continued

Beware - viewing of more photos may bring on an overwhelming desire to hop on a plane and head for sandy white beaches, bluest of blue oceans and a waiting tan. Let me know if this desire is too much...I'll go with you!!!

Oh, yeah, I'm supposed to tag 5 more people. How about Kristi, Stephanie, Malerie, Donna, & Wendi.
