My lists

I made this list last night. It is a list of things to get done today.

1. Laundry
2. Get the head shots of 74 primary kids glued onto bulletin board at church.
3. Run to grocery store for small list of needs.
4. Exercise
5. Start eating better, since I seem to be in a sugar & carb eating slump.
6. Clean my horribly messy closet.
7. Get more plants transferred in my garden.

Here is a list of what I have accomplished so far today.

1. Got kids out door to school.
2. Watched an hour of Spongebob with MD. (I know there are a lot of parents out there who do not approve of Spongebob, but I am a loyal fan, especially of the beginning episodes). This pic is from my favorite episode...Crabby patties are an absolute good! ... "good for your soul".)
3. Showered and dressed, but then didn't feel like exercising.
4. Had a huge piece of chocolate cake for breakfast.
5. Spent an hour and a half making these tissue flower balls for the girls' room. They were easy and turned out really cute!
6. Spent an hour reading blogs and email.

So much for my list.
1. Too late to start laundry, since it will just sit while I shuffle kids here and there after school.
2. Don't feel like running to church, so I'll put that on tonight's list for tomorrow.
3. Can hit grocery store in between lessons.
4. Exercise and eat better will have to go on tomorrow's list as well. Unless there is still cake left, then I might just have to put that off one more day.
5. I can clean up my closet tonight.
6. Too windy to garden today.

It's just one of those days, you know? I guess I'll just have to try harder tomorrow.

Shellers, those lists made me laugh so hard! I LOVE days like that! I love to make a list, then cross half off, and see if I can get half of the half done! I consider that a good day! I wish so badly I could stay at home and watch some spongebob with Gracie. that would be so sweet! She's so cute, and I feel I am slowly missing out on things I got to experience with the other kids because I was in school and had some breaks to spend with them. The daily job is a bit different, and time is cruising by! Sorry for the long comment!

Hahaha...that is too funny. I just had a day like that. The list was on my fridge and I gave it a dirty look. But today I walked 3 miles, the laundry is going, and I have no cake left. I should probably make some cookies, though, hee hee.

Soooooo, I'm not alone. I too am one of those list makers. Sometimes they can be a little unrealistic. Today, I forgot about my list, put my girls down for a nap, and watched 27 dresses while a gave myself a pedicure. I NEVER do stuff like that and it felt GRRRRRREAT!!!

Okay, I for one, am glad to see that you are human! I mean, really! You have a gorgeous family, a beautiful yard, your children are accomplished and talented. You have your own activities and interests, but your husband is your number one priority. Oh, and you excel at those interests. You are Primary President (shooting myself in the head at that thought!) AND you blog!

You are a goddess.

I am sorry, but I love that your to-do list went something like mine. ;) And I love your positive attitude about it all. Your blog made me laugh!

Oh, I have been going to make those paper balls for my girls' rooms too. Are they are easy as Martha says?

Tifani, you are hilarious. I am no goddess, sorry if I give that impression. Ha ha. Those tissue balls were surprisingly easy to do, and they turned out as cute as the picture shows them to be.

I'm never sorry when I take a break, but I am usually sorry when I'm so task oriented I forget that I have a family. Every now and then I find a good balance. I have always admired you for living life. By the way, I think anybody who can get their kids out the door to school has already had a successful day :-)

You fixed my day! I laughed so hard! It is crazy that we had the very same day! Only my food was about 6 cookies! As I type this Karter(who is sick today) is watching Sponge Bob Squarepants! You got to love that show! Just tell yourself that there is always tommorow! It works for me, except I am going mountain biking and playing with friends in the morning!!! Well there is always Friday!

Isn't that just about how lists go? I totally want to do this nesting thing and have a list that gets shorter every day and the things that get checked off is even shorter. lol. Luckily I have Matt who is willing to do a little nesting in my behalf. By the way, Matt giggles all the way through Sponge bob when we are visiting Maizy. It's pretty funny to watch.

Okay, that is just too funny! I thought you had more self control than that Shelli! You need to come to my house. You would get out of that slump real soon. My husband is probably ready for his christmas stocking because I have been robbing him of "bad food."

Good luck with your list, I stopped making them.... I have moved to notebooks. Whenever I think of something I would like to do either now or eventually I write it down so have more to choose from on the days I don't really feel like doing what I need to.
