Pie People.

Some people are pie people.
You know who you are.

I've told you before, I am a CAKE person.
Cake.  The word itself makes my tummy rumble.
Oh...cake...

BUT, tis the season for pie, right?
For a self-proclaimed cake person, I admit I can make a mean pie.
Trevor and Monkey A love my apple.
Mom loves my lemon meringue.
The little girls want my crustless pumpkin.
My sister enjoys my apple custard.
My strawberry rhubarb custard rocks.
I myself thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate pecan I made last Thanksgiving.

You pie people are lucky,
this is your month!

Are you already licking your lips in anticipation?
It's just a few weeks away!
What kind are you going to dive into first?
What kind of pie makes YOUR tummy rumble?

I am like you. A big fan of cake - especially German Chocolate. But, if I have to pick a pie it definitely has to be pecan, more specifically chocolate pecan. Maybe I'm stuck on chocolate and nuts?

I'm with you, cake all the way. I remember when you learned to make pie crust in cooking class at Kamiakin. We knew a star was born even back then. But, you know what? I don't think I've ever sampled your pie. Sad, huh! I'm always in the middle of my own pie fest when I visit.

Have you ever seen The Waitress? I probably wouldn't watch it again, but she makes pies to fit her moods--kid of funny.

I think I would enjoy your crustless pumpkin--sounds delicious.

I'm still chuckling, Kris..and yes, you do deserve to bow...bravo, dear poet.
My mouth still waters for my grandma's hot apple turnovers with nutmeg sauce..both you and Shelli do her proud..and she was THE PIE QUEEN of our family. She'd make me a whole dry apricot pie when I got sick as a child..my fav back then.

Oooooooo I love pumpkin pie! I have been hearing a lot about chocolate pecan though, and thought I would give it a try this year.

And, I thought of you the whole time I made Sari's Sponge Bob costume. I knew when she was over it, it would always find a loving home at your house. And I know you love hot chocolate, like me, so check your mail in about a week ...
